Flora Women's Mini-Marathon 2010

We’d like to say a very big “Thank You!” to everyone who supported Aidlink with their participation in the 2010 Flora Women’s Mini-Marathon. Joining a total of 40,397 runners, our intrepid Aidlink supporters braved the rain in good spirits, with Director Anne Cleary joining the charge.

We hope everyone crossed the finish line with not only a sense of pride in undertaking some healthy exercise, but also with the knowledge that the proceeds from their sponsorship will help Aidlink’s projects and partners in Africa continue their important work. The donations that have come in from your friends, families, colleagues and yourselves will mean so much to the communities they benefit. Thank you for being part of this fun and very meaningful event!

To date the 2010 Mini-Marathon runners have raised over €5000 and more money just keeps on coming in! This money goes to projects such as The Girl Child Network in Kenya. The Girl Child Network (GCN) is an umbrella organisation that is committed to advancing the rights of young girls in Kenya, in particular the right to education.
